Booking Request Feature: How to give employees control over their schedule (MarketBox feature insight)
Learn more about the booking request feature that puts your employees in control over their schedule

What is MarketBox?
MarketBox is the first appointment-scheduling software designed for businesses offering in-home and mobile services. The all-in-one platform makes it easy for businesses to manage provider logistics and enable their clients to self-book and pay for appointments online.
How does the booking request feature work?
Client bookings made via the MarketBox platform are instantly confirmed by default. However, companies can override this by turning on the “booking request” feature.
With the “booking request” feature turned on, the client’s chosen provider will be notified of each new booking request. It is then up to them to accept or decline the booking. If the chosen provider declines (or does not respond), the request is sent to up to ten other providers with matching skills and availability so you can still capture the sale.
Clients can choose not to be matched with a secondary provider during the booking process. In this case, if the booking request expires, the client will receive a notification letting them know their booking was unsuccessful and they haven’t been charged. Businesses can reach out to the client to try and save the sale or let it go.
As a company admin, you have control over the response window for both the primary (chosen provider) and the secondary provider(s), so you can still provide fast responses to client requests.
Booking request feature use cases
The booking request feature allows your team to decide which jobs to take on and is primarily used by businesses that employ independent contractors who control their own hours.
