When Do Customers Get Charged?

Different scenarios when customers get charged in MarketBox

In scenarios when a provider is automatically booked:

One-off appointments

Customers are charged at booking time via the payment screen.

Packages

Customers are charged at booking time for the entire package via the payment screen.

Example:

If they purchased a package of ten sessions and book two of them on the spot, they are charged for the package at the time of booking (via the payment screen) and have eight credits left from the package.

If they are logged in to the MarketBox system at a future session and pick a service, the system shows them that they have an existing package with credits remaining.

Repeating appointments

Customers are charged at booking time for the first appointment via the payment screen.

For future appointments, customers are charged after the company admin or provider has set booking to “completed”.

In scenarios when a provider has the option to accept or decline a booking (part of the MarketBox Professional plan):

Customers are charged when the provider accepts the booking.
